1st Rotation. Pinch Pottery. I made a couple of bowls. One shaped like a bowl, the other.. well it's suppose to be a star. I made them because I remember when I was a little kid and we made pinch pots. The star, I thought I could make because it was a different shape then what I used to make. I was challenged by keeping the pot round because everytime I tried to keep it round and even, there were lumps and dents. I am most proud of how the color on both turned out. This type of pottery would be best for small things you want to make. 2nd Rotation. Slab Pottery. I made a bowl shaped as a flower because I thought it was a good idea. I was challenged by smoothing out the petals and making them even. I am most proud of how the bowl turned out. It might be a little odd shaped, but it is still big enough to hold things. Plus, I figure my mom will love it anyway. She kind of has to. This type of pottery would be best for making larer things. But, it can be used to make really anything. 3rd Rotation. Coil Pottery. I made a vase because I had saw a vase type thing in the art room. It was a purple plaster vase. It gave me inspiration. I was challenged by not getting it to wet and sticking the coils together. Even though, it is not done, I am going to put a bird on it and I think that would be the thing I would be proud of. This type of pottery would be best for anything. Vases, plates, cups, really anything. 4th Rotation. Wheel Pottery. I made a bowl because this was my first time with wheel pottery and a bowl seemed like the easiest to make. I was challenged by the whole process. Trying to keep my elbos locked, using a certain speed, and trying not to mess up. What challenged me the most was trying to smooth out the bottom. I am most proud of how the bowl turned out. It's smooth and the shape isn't that odd. This type of pottery is best for bowls, vases, plates, cups, really anything in a circular or oval form I think.
